Pluralism is not only a theological awareness, but also social awareness. This has implications for the awareness that humans live in plural society terms of religion, culture, ethnicity and various other diversity. Pendidikan Islam baik maupun non formal, menurut Madjid merupakan jembatan penghubung untuk menginternalisasi nilai-nilai pluralistik atau akidah inklusif kepada peserta didik. Al-Quran landasan utamapraktik pendidikan Islam. Atas dasar itu, dituntut menghadirkan moralitas sosial agar pesan humanistik termuat dalam kitab suci bisa dijadikan pedoman bersosial secara beradab.
